shell¶
Open an interactive REPL against a service through the tool — the operator
console's stateful primitive, for the high-value cases a one-shot
request doesn't cover. You drive every turn; nothing runs on its own.
Synopsis¶
Description¶
Where request issues a single HTTP call, shell holds a session: you type
turns, the tool sends them, and the response prints back. It is the same "enter your
own prompts / create a shell / call a tool by hand" interaction the tool already
does for single model prompts, generalized into a loop. Works authenticated or
unauthenticated (supply --header/--api-key, or nothing).
On exit the session's captured responses are mined for credentials — any secret
a model discloses, an environment dump returns, or a file read reveals lands in the
loot index (a ── session loot ── summary prints, and -o <file> writes the whole
session as jsonl for report view --credentials). Nothing is redacted.
The prompt is written to stderr and responses to stdout, so a piped session
(printf '…\n:quit\n' | aipostex … shell) stays scriptable.
Four shells, each reusing that module's existing client:

Kubernetes has no in-tool shell — its interactive channel is kubectl, handed
off as a ready-to-use kubeconfig by the dossier's manual/ folder.

Inside any shell, lines beginning with : are commands, not payload:

An MCP tool call is typed as <tool> {"arg":"value"} (JSON arguments optional).
Safety gating¶
The execution shells — jupyter (runs code), mcp (runs tools), a2a
(submits tasks) — require --force-exploit, consistent with the tool's mutation
gating. The LLM chat shell is ungated (inference is not a mutation).

LLM-chat turns are severity Info (operator interaction); the execution shells surface at the module's usual severity for a confirmed exec.
